Description	:	Arlene Strand, 83, joined her Savior on September 12, 2012, after a very courageous battle with cancer. Services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, September 18, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Bismarck, with Rev. Steve Sathre officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm Monday, September 17, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. She is reunited with her husband, Orville G. Strand; her parents, Mabel Keck and Mike Stolz and grandparents, Ann and Olaf Oppeboen. Survived... Survived by children, Dianne (Tim) Williams, Tom Williams, Michael (Valerie) Williams, Jim (Faith) Williams; sister, Shirley (Dave) Stenseth; eight grandchildren, Jenny, Corey, Cassie, PJ, Ronnie, Charity, James, and Hope; and stepchildren, Renae Krueger, Gail Fricke, Brian Strand, and Janet Wald. Throughout her life, Arlene drew strength and support from her church family at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bismarck. She served the congregation as one of its first woman deacons, and was active in Trinity Lutheran Church Women, Pastoral Support Committee, Sunday School and Circle. Arlene was grateful for the many friends she made there. Above all, Arlene pointed to the abiding love and unconditional grace of her Savior, Jesus Christ, which provided so much strength, understanding and joy throughout her life. She found comfort in the knowledge that her earthly struggles were a prelude to a life everlasting, when she could be once again with her husband, mother, grandparents, and all her other loved ones in Jesus' embrace. She always said, "All I know is that God loves me and there's nothing he and I can't handle." Arlene's prayer for her surviving family and friends is that they too will keep their faith alive and active and trust Jesus above all. Memorials may be given to N.C.
