Peterson, Frank Olson and Lester Hopkins and interment was in the Laurens cemetery. Died Oct. 1 Ella White, daughter of Lewis and Mary Ann White, was born Jan. 13, 1871, in Boone county, Iowa, and passed away on the evening of Oct. 1, 1946, at the age of 75 years, and 18 days. She received her education and taught in the Boone county schools. On Sept. 22, 1891, she was united in marriage to Albert M. Peterson of Pilot Mound. They immediately came to Pocahontas county and the following year purchased the farm where they spent the rest of their lives. Five children were born to this union: Ethel (Mrs. Stewart Chilcot); Lillian (Mrs. Samuel Rigby); Winnie (Mrs. Douglas Rigby); Mabel (Mrs. Joe Grous); and Wayne Wallace who died at the age of one year. Mr. Peterson died June 20, 1930 and Mrs. Peterson continued to live on the home farm with Mr. and Mrs. Joe Grous. Mrs. Ella Peterson was deeply interested in gardening, especially flowers, and was a member of the Methodist church and its organizations.
