Mable Belle Zepp, the fourth daughter of William and Sarah Zepp, was born at Jamison, Iowa, October 26, 1885, and died at her home near Jamison, Thursday, November 12, 1925. She was united in marriage to William Edgington November 10, 1909, at St. Charles, Iowa, by the Rev. A. R. George. To this union two children were born Floy Lucile, now ten years old, and Lois Audrey, eight. With the exception of six years in Missouri, she spent her life in Clarke county near Jamison. She united with the Methodist Episcopal church at an early age, and was ever faithful to her vows, her church and her Master. Her mother died when Mable was sixteen and on her shoulders rested the care of the home, with the responsibility of training two younger sisters and a brother, to which trust she was most faithful. She was always regular in attendance at Sunday school and church, and was day in and day out a cheerful, happy and faithful example of splendid Christian character. A memory of such a mother is a rich inheritance. The heartfelt sympathy of the community goes out to the bereaved husband and the little girls. Floy said to her papa, "We will just have to do the best we can now, papa," and Lois said, "If we are good, we shall see mama again," evidence and prophecy that the practical faith of the mother lives on in her children. Besides the husband and the two daughters, she leaves to mourn their loss the aged father, William Zepp, of Mullen, Nebr., three sisters, Mrs. Carrie Williamson of Mullen, Nebr., Mrs. Edith Machlan of Seneca, Nebr., Mrs. Dessie Wiley of Osceola, and three brothers, Harvey Zepp of Denver, Albert Zepp of Osceola, and Lester Zepp of Omaha. These were all present at the funeral except the father who was unable to attend. The services were held in the Methodist church at Jamison, Iowa, November 16; conducted by the Rev. A. E. George, of St. Charles, assisted by the Rev. Chas. Burnette of Osceola.
