Read More	Mabel Fora Hutzell Newspaper: Iowa Obituaries: Mabel Hutzell Death of Mabel Hutzell The Victor community was saddened last Thursday morning by the death of Mabel Hutzell, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. S.M. Hutzell. Mabel Flora Hutzell was born July 3, 1898 at Victor, Iowa. She was stricken with scarlet fever about January 10 and although she had recovered from that complications set in and she passed away at home, Feb. 18, 1931. She leaves to mourn her passing, her parents, one sister, Mrs. S.M. Decker, Mason City, two brothers, Jim Hutzell Nora Springs and Russell Hutzell, Mason City, besides a host of other relatives and friends both in and near Victor and from all walks of life, as far away as Africa. She was a member of the Victor Congregational church and has taught a Sunday school class for years in the church. She had full charge of the Christmas program this year at the church. She was serving her fifth year as treasurer of the Pythian Sisters and her second year as treasure of the Missionary Society of the Congregational church. Her Sunday school class is bereft of their teacher becasuse of her passing. Mabel was always cheerfull and congeniol, making the best of things in the way they were presented. Her friends were numblese and the love and esteem in which she was held was shown by the many messages and words of comfort and consolation which was extended toward in her last illness. Funeral services were held from the home Saturday afternoon at 2:0' Clock Rev. Harold Putney, pastor of the Hartwick Congregational were in charge of the services, and Rev. 0.E. McBride assisted. Pall Bearers were Hollis and Hoyt Fish, Alden and Delmar Schultz, Wilbur Jennings, and John Doran. Interment was made in the I.00F. Cemetery. Those from out of - town who attended the funeral were; S.M. Decker and Melvin Decker of Mason City, Mrs. Don K. Lawson of Ft. Dodge, Mrs. Milton Decker and daughter, Barbara, Mrs. Russell Hutztell of Mason City, Mr. & Mrs. Bert Bushnells and daughter Sina Jean of Waverly, Mr. & Mrs. Hebert Smith and family of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. George, Jr. of North English, Mr. & Mrs. Will Bowsman and family of Millersburg, Frank Owen, Mrs. Nell Voss and Richard Owen of North English, Mrs. H.E. Well of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Nora Edelen, Mr. & Mrs. Charles Schrader, Mrs. Will Gwinn of Brooklyn, Mr. & Mrs. Russell Foster of Newton, Miss Minnie Hinkle, Mr. Hoover, Mrs. John Chvala and LaVonne Chvala of Bell Plaine.
