Read More	Death of Mabel Irene Henry Mabel Irene Henry fell asleep in Jesus at the dawn of a new day, Saturday, April 11, 1925. With a gentle smile and a wave of the hand she wandered into an unknown land and left us dreaming how very fair it needs must be since she lingers there. Born Sept. 14, 1909, the youngest of four children who blessed their parents, Russell and Rosa May Henry, and bereft of a mother's love and a father's tender care by their death a few month's later Mabel became the pet of the hearts of her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Eli Hill of Bentonsport who bestowed upon the motherless little one all the love of their generous hearts and reared them to lives of usefulness. They are Mrs. Mildred Martin of Keosauqua; Mrs. June Corns and Stanley Henry of Bentonsport. Early in life Mabel evinced a desire for the beautiful things in life and the joy of serving to the very best in loyal, unselfish duty to the church, her home and her friends. Her whole nature was attuned to the pleasure of giving the world the best might return to her. A faithful attendant at Sunday school and church, at all times giving her talent, with which she was richly endowed. To her classmate to whom she was endeared in deepest bonds of affection she radiated the purity of her character. Somewhere the sun is shining Somewhere the song birds dwell; Cease they thy sad repining; God lives and all is well. Funeral services were held at 2:30 Sunday afternoon at the Presbyterian church at Bentonsport, in charge of Rev. Morris, pastor of the Presbyterian church at Troy. Burial at the Bentonsport cemetery. - - - - - We wish to thank our kind friends and neighbors for their kindness and sympathy in the loss of our dear daughter and sister.
