Description	:	Mrs. Allan Burns 1935 Bridgewater Bulletin Death at an early hour came to the home of Allan Burns of Conquerall Bank on Thursday morning, June 6 th, claiming the life of his beloved wife, Mabel Jean, aged 32 years. For several months she had been a terrible sufferer, and despite all that medical skill and loving hands could do, she passed to her eternal rest. Mrs. Burns was the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Asaph Corkum of Jordan Falls, Shelburne County, who survive her. She is also survived by her husband and two small children, Audrey and Lloyd; three sisters and two brothers- Mrs. Manford Corkum, LaHave; Mrs. Ralph Harlow, Sable River; and Mrs. Arthur Weir, Jordan Falls; Hastings of Waverly and Hallet, Jordan Falls. The funeral was held Saturday afternoon, the service being taken by Rev. W.K. Reid, pastor St. John's United Church, Bridgewater, who spoke very comforting from the words, "Be ye also ready." The hymns sung were "Lead Kindly Light," "Shall We Gather at the River," and "Peace, Perfect Peace." The pall-bearers were Clyde Rafuse, Frank Haines, Watson Lohnes, and Owen Haines. Interment was in the Dayspring Cemetery. The flowers were very beautiful,testifying to the esteem in which the deceased was held. With thanks to Rosemary Rafuse.
