Description	:	Mabel was born the daughter of Elizabeth Penall and Peter Gloade out of wedlock. She was born in Beech Hill and lived in that area all her life. She had 9 children of which 7 lived to adulthood. She married William Wilson in 1906 and had some of those children with him until he left to return to the sea and was never heard from again. Some of those children were born out of wedlock and she raised them until her death in 1927. She is buried in 1927 in Beech Hill Cemetery near other family members . There was... Read More	Mabel was born the daughter of Elizabeth Penall and Peter Gloade out of wedlock. She was born in Beech Hill and lived in that area all her life. She had 9 children of which 7 lived to adulthood. She married William Wilson in 1906 and had some of those children with him until he left to return to the sea and was never heard from again. Some of those children were born out of wedlock and she raised them until her death in 1927. She is buried in 1927 in Beech Hill Cemetery near other family members . There was never a headstone put in place for her or some of those children who passed on as infants. She worked hard all her life trying to provide for her many children as a single mother of 7 children. The youngest being only 7 years old at the time of her death. Her oldest children were left to raise the younger children. Mabel suffered a painful death and also was bed ridden during the last years of her life. Her Children who lived were as follows: Phyllis Madelyn Wilson Ida Wilson Thomas Wilson Ted Wilson Woodrow Wilson Vera Jean Wilson Inez Wilson She also had another son Alexander who passed as an infant as well as 2 other children who also were still born but no records have been found for these children. There was never any other records found to tell what ever happened to her husband William Wilson after he returned to sea as a seamen. He may have returned to his home country of Finland.
