Description	:	HARLAN - Mabel Ruth Heimerman, daughter of William W. and Etta (Weatherill) Kelley, was born on a farm west of Panama in Washington Township March 2, 1907. She was one of seven children and attended school and grew to adulthood in the Panama area. Oct. 16, 1928 she married John Heimerman at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Panama. To this union two sons were born, Elmer and Robert. They farmed west of Panama for many years. In 1953 they moved to a farm they purchased near Harlan. Read More	HARLAN - Mabel Ruth Heimerman, daughter of William W. and Etta (Weatherill) Kelley, was born on a farm west of Panama in Washington Township March 2, 1907. She was one of seven children and attended school and grew to adulthood in the Panama area. Oct. 16, 1928 she married John Heimerman at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Panama. To this union two sons were born, Elmer and Robert. They farmed west of Panama for many years. In 1953 they moved to a farm they purchased near Harlan. He died Nov. 9, 1962 and she continued to make her home on the farm until she entered the Baptist Memorial home in the fall of 1985. May 27, 1986 she became a resident of Little Flower Haven in Earling and made this her home until her death April 10, 19% at age 89 years, one month and eight days. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Harlan. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Thomas, George, Charles and Walter Kelley, and two sisters, Blanche Benjamin and Jennie Mae Behrendt. Surviving are her two sons, Elmer Heimerman (Ruth) of Boone and Robert Heimerman (Judy) of Defiance; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren and other relatives. A Mass of Christian Burial was held April 12, 1996 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Harlan with Msgr. Edward Kelly celebrant and Rev. Mr. Pat Davitt assisting. Burial was in the Harlan Cemetery with Randy Heimerman, Clem Arkfeld, Lynn Heimerman, Dale Heimerman, Cleo Anderson and Judy Heimerman casket bearers. Pauley Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
