Description	:	Mable T. (Wade) Mulhair, daughter of Henry R. and Mary C. (Fitzpatrick) Wade, was born March 24, 1922 at Lynch, Nebraska and grew up on the family farm north of Lynch, Nebraska. Mable died Saturday, June 1, 2013, at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, Nebraska. On March 1, 1947, Mable was married to Leo "Ike" Mulhair, and they farmed southeast of Lynch, Nebraska for their first 20 years. Mable took in ironing and worked part-time at the Retzlaff Grocery. (Fitzpatrick) Wade, was born March 24, 1922 at Lynch, Nebraska and grew up on the family farm north of Lynch, Nebraska. Mable died Saturday, June 1, 2013, at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, Nebraska. On March 1, 1947, Mable was married to Leo "Ike" Mulhair, and they farmed southeast of Lynch, Nebraska for their first 20 years. Mable took in ironing and worked part-time at the Retzlaff Grocery. In 1967, after moving from the farm, she served as postmaster in Monowi, Nebraska, until they moved to Lynch, Nebraska in 1968. Mable then worked a short time as a nurse aide at Sacred Heart Hospital, Lynch, Nebraska until foot problems left her unable to work outside the home. Mable knew quite a few "four letter words", though she seldom used them…but the one she knew best was "work". She was always ready to lend a helping hand. Mable loved to garden and work outdoors, and was quite talented at woodworking, painting, crewel, and embroidery. Despite her disabilities in the later years, she continued to maintain her extensive yard and large home. No speck of dirt, chipped paint, or picture askew missed her discerning eye, and woe to any week or insect choosing to invade her territory. Mable was very determined to maintain her independence, and if her walker could have been equipped with a snow blade, she would have attempted to clear her driveway with it. She was a great cook, and kept a well-stocked pantry and freezer. No one ever left her house hungry. Cookies, bars, and candy were always ready when anyone stopped by. The only things she had time to sit down for were visiting, a good game of cards or to hold a child on her lap. Mable is survived by: children, Elaine Cizek of Spencer, Nebraska, Sharon (John) Cizek of Sutherland, Nebraska, and Allen Mulhair of O'Neill, Nebraska; grandsons, Andrew (Davina) Cizek of Maywood, Nebraska and Aaron Cizek of Eugene, Oregon; great-grandchildren, Asher, Spencer, Jaxon, Ariana, Simon, Josiah, Eil and Emmett; sister, Hazel (Bill) Bermel of Randolph, Nebraska; sister-in-law, Mildred (Alan) Coakley of Sublimity, Oregon and a host of relatives and friends. Mabel was preceded in death by: husband, Leo "Ike" Mulhair; grandson, Craig Cizek; brothers, Delbert (Twila) (Bessie) and Robert Wade; sister, Luree (Carl) Frisch and infant brother and sister. Burial was in the Alford Cemetery, rural Monowi, Nebraska.
