Paul Duffy officiating. *** Mable was born to William and Augusta (Utecht) Nienhueser on Nov. 6, 1916, at Kenesaw. She received her gift of Faith through the sacrament of Holy Baptism at Zion Lutheran Church at Wanda. She made a public confession of that faith at her confirmation on December 14, 1930. Her confirmation verse was "Be thou faithful unto death and I will give thee a crown of life." Rev. 2:10. She went to Hatckson County School to the 8th grade and then to high school in Sidney, Neb., until 1935. On May 28, 1938, she married William Tegtmeier in Sidney, Neb. Her husband taught in the parochial school system for 35 years. During this time, Mable was a stay-at-home mother for her daughter Cynthia until she started school. Mable began cooking for school lunches. She cooked for St. Paul's Lutheran School for 10 years. Then after the flood in 1967, she went to Kenesaw Public School for an enjoyable 25 years. She loved working with the students. She belonged to several ladies organizations at the church, had a quilting group at the church and quilted twice a week. She enjoyed being with the various groups. Mable is survived by two brothers, Vearn and Ray Nienhueser; three sisters, Irene Fischer, Helen Koester and Eldora Schubarth all of Sidney, Neb. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Tegtmeier, on Sept. 20, 1986; daughter, Cynthia Marie Tegtmeier on April 24, 1996; and four brothers, Herbert, Victor, Clifford and Arthur Nienhueser.
