She was weigh master at Douds Quarry and was a longtime secretary at McCoy Insurance in Keosauqua. She and her husband worked for Douglas County Forestry Department in Oregon, where they moved in 1977. They moved to Sierra Vista, Ariz. in 1984 and returned to Keosauqua in 2002. Her hobby was knitting gifts for family and friends. Surviving are a daughter, Donna(Frank)McCannon of Lowell; three sons, walter(Daria)Davis of Canton, Ga., Harry (Kathky)Davis of Burlington and George(Susan)Davis of Keosauqua; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and; a brother, Stephen Carr. Her body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm Saturday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua; with Rev. Jerry Caughron officiating. Burial of cremains will be in Leando Cemetery in Douds. Visitation will open at 3 pm Friday with family present 5-7 pm Fiday at the funeral home. Memorials to Good Smaritan Society-Van Buren.
