Description	:	Mae Alice Siems, 97, Bismarck, died December 30, 2012, at Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center, Bismarck. Services will be held at 1:30 pm Saturday, January 5, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck. Burial will be in the Spring at Fairview Cemetery, Bismarck. Visitation will be held from 11:30 am – 1:30 pm Saturday, January 5, at Parkway Funeral Service. Mae Alice was born September 23, 1915, in Bismarck, ND, the daughter of Emil and Martha (Hoge) Paul. She was three-years-old when her mother passed away in 1918 during the flu epidemic. Mae was raised by her grandparents, Gus and Augusta Hoge, north of Bismarck in Riverview Township, where she attended grade school. She also attended Bismarck High School. Mae was employed for a time at Governor Langer's office, MDU, and for the state of Washington. On August 29, 1944, Mae married Kenny Siems who was employed by the Bureau of Reclamation and together they traveled to many states. In 1960, she moved with her aunt, Clara (Hoge) Fristad to San Clemente, CA, where she was employed by the Laguna Federal Bank and Loan. In 2006, she returned to Bismarck and lived at the Patterson Place until December 2010, when she entered Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center. Mae will be greatly missed by her family. She is survived by her aunt, Grace Hoge, her cousin, Roberta Wachter, both of Bismarck; and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; aunts and uncles.
