Description	:	Mae Tholstrom, 86, died Friday evening, July 14, 2006, just five days before her 87th birthday, at St. Patrick's Hospital in Missoula. Mae was born on July 19, 1919, in Big Sandy to Richard Sylvester Andrews and Lulu Mae Zook. She was the youngest of 12 children. Mae was born on July 19, 1919, in Big Sandy to Richard Sylvester Andrews and Lulu Mae Zook. She was the youngest of 12 children. During most of her young like she lived in the Orchard Homes area in Missoula. She graduated from Missoula County High School of Nursing in September 1940. She married Gunner Erland Tholstrom on Feb. 8, 1941. They lived in Washoe Park in Anaconda nearly all their married life. Mae worked as a register nurse at Anaconda Community Hospital for many years. Mae has lived at the Hearthstone Apartments in Anaconda and then for the last few years at the Riverside Health Care Center in Missoula. Mae was preceded in death by her loving husband Gunner on April 8, 1988, and her great grandson Gunner Paul Alden on July 28, 1996. Surviving relatives include a brother, Richard (Dick) Andrews in Monterey, Calif.; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Allen and Debbie Tholstrom of Frenchtown, Kendell and Claudia Tholstrom of Littleton, Colo., and Norman Tholstrom of Anaconda; 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; a niece, Betty Jean Miller of Missoula. Mae is also survived by her life-long friends, Ella Kay Johnson of Missoula, and Ceil Thornahlen of Anaconda. A memorial Service will be conducted Wednesday, July 19, at 2 p.m. at the Longfellow Finnegan Funeral Home. Rev. Kent Elliott of the Methodist Church will officiate. She will be buried next to her husband at the lower cemetery in Anaconda. A reception for family and friends will be held at the Methodist Church following the graveside service.
