She was born December 22, 1918 in Rosedale (Parke County) Indiana. She was the 12th child born to Henry Horton Hunt and Daisy Elizabeth Armstrong Hunt. Read More	Mae Elizabeth Hunt Rouse, 102, passed away Sunday, May 30, 2021 at 3:30 am at Heritage Health in Springfield, Illinois. She was born December 22, 1918 in Rosedale (Parke County) Indiana. She was the 12th child born to Henry Horton Hunt and Daisy Elizabeth Armstrong Hunt. She was a 1936 graduate of Rosedale High School. She moved to Lafayette (Tippecanoe County) Indiana in 1937 where she lived until 2016. She will return home to Indiana on Monday, June 7, 2021. Mae retired in 1994, after 37 years as Bakery Manager at Eisner Food Store in Lafayette. She attended First United Methodist Church, Moose Lodge 1529 Loomers, American Legion 11, and Fraternal Order of Eagles Ladies Auxiliary 347 REAC. She attended Arthur Murray's Dance Studios, winning numerous awards and trophies. She was awarded several Medals in the Senior Olympics sponsored by The Tippecanoe Senior Center in Lafayette, Indiana. She enjoyed playing bingo and was a "professional level" Euchre player. She was a supporter of Purdue University women's and men's basketball. An avid word traveler. Survivors include her son, William Rouse of Springfield, IL; four grandchildren, Robert (Jean) Ralston of Jenison, Michigan; Reva Lee of Little Rock, Arkansas, Kathryn Ralston of Brandon, Florida, John(Mary) Ralston of Monticello, Michigan; 14 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and hundreds of friends. Mae was proceeded in death by both parents, her seven brothers, four sisters, one son, Robert Henry Ralston, two daughters, Kay Elizabeth Ralston and Kathy Marie Rouse Pedigo; three grandchildren, Edward Lee Ralston, Michael Glen Pedigo and William Ralston. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 7, at Cottrell-Gooch Funeral Home, 287 N. Main Street, Rosedale, with Celebrant Marta K. Adubato officiating. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
