Description	:	Charter member (June 1870) of the Medary Congregation. Magne came to America from Norway and settled first south of Rochester, MN with a group of others from Norway. A group of them broke away to move to Medary in the Medary Township of Dakota Territory (just south of Brookings, SD). Magne was part of the second group to relocate there. He was also a founder of the Lake Campbell Lutheran Church south of Brookings. At some point, Magne had returned to Norway to visit. When he returned he boarded a train somewhere in Wisconsin to return to South Dakota. While the train was still in Wisconsin, Magne somehow walked/fell from the train.
