Her funeral was held in Red Oak, Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Methodist Church, of which she was a member, with the Rev. F. W. Simpson in charge of the service. Interment was in the Franklin Grove Cemetery southwest of Coburg. Mahal Wilmina Dukeshire was born in Page County, Iowa, August 1, 1874, and was the daughter of Charles and Mary (Ralston) Dukehire. She was married to Alpha Sweeten in Clarinda on January 16, 1895, and for several years they lived on a farm near Nyman. Mr. Sweeten died there May 22, 1917, and in 1924 Mrs. Sweeten moved to Red Oak, where she has since made her home. Besides her son in Villisca, and her daughter in Red Oak, Mrs. Sweeten leaves a sister, Mrs. Eva Bellis of Stillwater, Oklahoma, two brothers, Andrew Dukeshire of Red Oak, and John Dukeshire of Coburg, and three grandchildren.
