She was born July 1, 1888 in Pendleton County. W.Va., daughter of Joshua and Maria Ellinger McCray. She was a member of Hiner Church of the Brethren. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Viola Kiracofe of Doe Hill and Mrs. Irene Mitchell of Woodbridge; one son Lester Botkin of McDowell; 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
