Hawes, First Methodist Church Pastor. Mrs. Helen Lederer sang sacred solos with Mrs. M. F. McClelland as her accompanist. Burial was in the Best Cemetery west of Norfolk, Nebraska. Mr. Anderson was born in 1865 in Grayson County, Virginia, and came to Nebraska as a young man. He was married in 1895 to Anna Rominger, and to this union 10 sons and daughters were born, three of whom are dead. Surviving are his wife, two daughters, Mrs. John Haas, Pierce,Nebraska and Mrs. Ed Vaughn, Scenic, South Dakota; five sons William and Hale, Norfolk, Harvey, Ogallala, Tom and Frank, Berkeley, California; 16 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Mahlon was a farmer and later a tombstone cutter.
