Description	:	"A TERRIBLE accident occurred at Winona, in this county, on the 23d ult., which resulted in the death of Mahlon Whinery. He was feeding a threshing machine, when the cylinder bursted under two high a power, or from some defect in its condition. The fragments inflicted several severe wounds, one piece cutting so deeply into the right breast that the lung was partly severed, another breaking the left shoulder, and yet another badly fracturing the skull; while several spikes struck him on the head, one, it is thought, cut through to the brain. He was one of the most exemplary men of the neighborhood, and his loss is deeply felt by a large circle of friends; while a widow and a numerous family mourn the sudden removal of a kind and affectionate husband and father."
