Description	:	Mahylon R. "Dick" Hausman, 75, Estelline, died Friday, Nov. 23, 2001, at a hospital in Sun City West, Ariz. Funeral services will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Estelline with the Monsignor Steve Barnett officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. There will be a Scripture service today (Wednesday) at 7 p.m. in the church. "Dick" Hausman, 75, Estelline, died Friday, Nov. 23, 2001, at a hospital in Sun City West, Ariz. Mahylon Hausman, son of Harvey and Mary (Spanier) Hausman, was born June 25, 1926, at Pierre. He grew up in Pierre and graduated from Pierre High School in 1944. He served in the U.S. Army from 1944 until 1946 and after his discharge attended SDSU in Brookings. After completing his education he returned to Pierre. He married Jeanne F. Wadginski Sept. 6, 1948, in Pound, Wis. They lived in Brookings, Pierre and Kiel, Wis., where he was employed in the printing business. In 1956 they moved to Estelline where owned and operated the Estelline Journal until 1985. They continued to make Estelline their home and also wintered in Casa Grande, Ariz. He was a member of the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church and the American Legion. He was a past member of the Lions Club, the Knights of Columbus, the VFW and the S.D. Press Association. He enjoyed playing golf, photography, attending sporting events and playing with and listening to big dance bands. Survivors include his wife of Estelline: three sons and daughters-in-laws, Michael and Nancy of Eagle Point, Ore.; Mark and Nancy of Brookings and Matthew and Lisa of Castlewood; four daughters and a son-in-law, Pamela and Lance Hendricksen of Surprise, Ariz., Catherine Ching of Brookings and Patricia Hausman and Donna Houseman, both of Las Vegas, Nev.; 20 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Katin and her husband Kenneth of Rapid City.
