Excerpts from obituary from the Kokomo Tribune, Kokomo, Indiana, May 18, 2012: Thomas D. Morris, 76, Kokomo, died at 7:24 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis. He was born July 4, 1935, in Kankakee, Ill., to Harry P. and Gertrude E. (Bocke) Morris. On Nov. 10, 1956, he married Roseanne Tippy and she preceded him in death on Dec. 2, 1991. He then married Bernadette A. Goodman in 1995, and she survives. Tom was a graduate of Ball State University with a B.S. in business. He retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1975 after 20 years of service. He was a veteran of both the Korean and Vietnam Wars and received the U. S. Air Medal. After his service in the U. S. Air Force, he worked for H.E. McGonigal, Kokomo, as the finance and warranty manager, retiring in 2005. Tom was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, a former choir member at the church, a member of Studebaker Drivers Club, attending many international meets with the club. He enjoyed railroad-related trips and was a member of the Midwest Model Railroaders. Services are noon Monday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Kokomo, with the Rev. Joshua Bennett presiding. Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday in the IOOF Cemetery, Rochester, with military honors. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to noon Monday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church, for Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament Adoration Chapel, 1204 N. Armstrong St., Kokomo, IN 46901. Young-Nichols Funeral Home, Tipton, is in charge of the arrangements.
