| Description | : | It is thought that his actual name was William Major Taylor and that he was always referred to as Major. He was the son of Dudley Taylor & Ann Mize Taylor. On October 3, 1821, he married Rebecca Ford in Kentucky. They moved to Missouri about 1830. He was buried beside his wife on the family farm. Another owner, who was a descendent, moved the headstone into the woods and plowed the graves over. |
