Read More	Makin Raffi departed his pain and illness of heart failure on Monday, December 14, 2015 surrounded with love and family, at home in Las Cruces, NM. Makin was born in Greenbrae, Marin County in California on September 20, 1970 with a smile on his face and inquisitive eyes looking at the world. Makin brought joy and laughter to his parents, Valice (Redden) and Michael Mills; Grandparents Eleanor and C.B. Redden, and two uncles; David and wife Jari Redden, their children, Spin and Dallas; Jerry and wife Susan Redden, their children, Tasha and Tonya (deceased). He is survived by his mother, Valice Raffi of Las Cruces; stepfather, Dave Raffi of Petaluma, CA; a grandfather; and numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins; and a host of friends. When he was six, he welcomed into his family his new stepfather, Dave Raffi, two sisters, Lisa and Angela Raffi, Aunt Sissy, Grandparents, Lou and Ellen Raffi, and a very large extended family. His family grew more with two new aunts, Annabe (David) and Peggy (Jerry) Redden. We will never forget Makin's extraordinary personality and zest for life. He always had a positive attitude and showered his friends and family with kindness, sympathy, and affection. He was extremely knowledgeable and patiently helped coworkers and customers with his expertise in the telecom and security industry. Makin's almost encyclopedic knowledge of movies and music was second to none. He could captivate an audience by quoting an entire movie scene from start to finish or regale you with his mastery of music trivia. An avid reader, Makin always carried around a book - most often of the fantasy genre. Makin was also an enthusiastic poker player who loved the company of good friends more than winning the pot (which he often did)! Perhaps the thing we will remember most about Makin was his boisterous laugh, which will echo in our hearts forever. Makin was cremated and some of his remains were spread by loved ones and friends. The remainder is in an urn and laid to rest in the cemetery. Name Note: Makin was born, Makin Michael "Conan" Mills. He was then legally adopted by David Joseph Raffi and his name remained, Makin Michael Raffi thereafter.
