Description	:	Princeton - Malcolm E. Burke Jr. (Buddy) passed away on 22 March 2017, after a one year battle with an aggressive form of brain cancer. He was born on December 23, 1939 in East Machias. He grew up mostly in Dennysville and Eastport. After graduating from Dennysville High School in 1957, he entered the U.S. Air Force where he served overseas and stateside assignments until his honorable discharge in 1960. Read More	Princeton - Malcolm E. Burke Jr. (Buddy) passed away on 22 March 2017, after a one year battle with an aggressive form of brain cancer. He was born on December 23, 1939 in East Machias. He grew up mostly in Dennysville and Eastport. After graduating from Dennysville High School in 1957, he entered the U.S. Air Force where he served overseas and stateside assignments until his honorable discharge in 1960. After his discharge from the military, Buddy settled down in Princeton where he began a 35 year career with Georgia-Pacific and raised his family. Buddy was predeceased by his son Andrew Dow of Princeton, his father Malcolm Sr., mother Violet, sister June Gardner, and his brothers Byron, Franklin (Tink), and Bruce. He is survived by his daughter Bonnie Tupper and her husband Stephen of Charleston SC, daughter Sandra Corwin and her husband Ken of CA, son Michael and his companion Shelley Bauer of Salem MA, his granddaughters Jessica Tupper and his great grandson Aiden of Charleston SC and Kacie Burke of Milford ME, grandsons Harry Pleer of CA, Joshua Tupper of Bangor, and Jeremy Burke and his wife Kait and the great grand twins Hannah and Jonah of Brooks ME, his brother David and his wife Ginny of Calais, his brother John and his companion Donna Jean, his brother Doug and his wife Joyce of MO, his grandson Liam Donelan, very special nieces Jody Gardner Benner and April Wood, many other nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives, and Buddy’s 35 year companion Wanda Dow of Princeton. We would like to thank all of Dad’s family and friends for the outpouring of support that he received during the past year. We would also like to thank his second family at La Grange in Princeton. Judy and Dalton, Dana and Sharon and the whole crew our there were very supportive and helpful. Special friends Greg and Betty Monk, Elsie Monk, Melinda Burke, Vicki and Jimmy McLaughlin and many more that haven’t been named gave him the strength to keep going. He never would have been able to put up such a fight without it. Burial will take place at a later date in Lakeview Cemetery. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
