Myers, 88, of Winamac, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Querry-Ulbricht Funeral Home. She died at 6:45 p.m. Monday, June 28, 2004 in Pulaski Health Care Center. Born March 2, 1916, in Francesville, she was the daughter of John R. and Susie Ann Marie (Kopka) Culp. She was married June 29, 1940, in Winamac to Melvin L. Myers, who preceded her in death Nov. 20, 1974. Mrs. Myers was a homemaker. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Francesville, and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary in Monticello. She was a former member of the Board of Directors of the Pulaski County Farm Bureau. Mamie was a volunteer with the Pulaski Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She loved to sing, write letters, send cards and talk on the phone. Mamie loved going to church and Bible study class. She was a lifelong resident of Francesville. Surviving are three sons; Ronald Leroy Myers and his wife, Sally, Las Vegas, and Donald W. Myers and his wife, Mary, and Melvin David Myers and his wife, Della, all of Franceville; five daughters, Martha Losh, Medaryville, Carol Martindale and her husband, George, Star City, Janet Haschel and her husband, Dennis, Winamac, Sheryl Hunt, Monticello, and Evelyn Dunker and her husband, George, Francesville; 18 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Francis Culp, Francesville. One daughter, Anna Marie Wood; one granddaughter; and one sister, Lela Hull, preceded her in death. Pastor James Gabhart will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Roseland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Francesville Town Park. Obituary published in the Pharos Tribune, Logansport, Indiana, on July 2, 2004.
