He died May 25 in Lansing, after a short illness. Mr. Morris was born March 8, 1882 in Saginaw County, and was a resident of Gladwin County from 1899 until 1930, when he moved to Lansing. He married the former Vernie Oliver February 7, 1905 in Beaverton. Mr. Morris was a member of the Presbyterian Church and a charter member of the Beaverton F. and A.M. No. 453 Lodge. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Vernie Morris; two daughters, Mrs. Howard Whitmer, of Pleasant Ridge and Mrs. Chas. Fowler, of Harbor Springs; one brother, M. Gordon Morris, of Beaverton; two sisters, Mrs. E. Maude Budge, of Beaverton and Mrs. Carrie Capling, of Gladwin. The Rev. Verne Summers officiated and burial was in Dale Cemetery.
