She was born on January 1, 1924, a daughter of the late Rufus Arnold and Harriett Lane Alford. Mrs. Perritt graduated from Aynor High School in 1942. She later married her beloved late husband, Woodrow, and they lived in Marion and later made their home in Galivants Ferry. She was a homemaker and also an Avon representative for many years. Read More	Mantha Eloise Alford Perritt Galivants Ferry Mantha Eloise Alford Perritt, 94, of Galivants Ferry, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at McLeod Hospice House in Florence. She was born on January 1, 1924, a daughter of the late Rufus Arnold and Harriett Lane Alford. Mrs. Perritt graduated from Aynor High School in 1942. She later married her beloved late husband, Woodrow, and they lived in Marion and later made their home in Galivants Ferry. She was a homemaker and also an Avon representative for many years. She was a woman of great Christian faith who loved her family and was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Mrs. Perritt was predeceased in addition to her parents, by her beloved husband of sixty-eight years, Woodrow Perritt; her sisters, Inez Martin, Ernestine Lyles, Eula Barnhill, Estalene Williams, Lucille Dempsey, and an infant sister, Mildred Alford; and a brother, R.A. Alford, Jr. She is survived by a son, Jerry (Marcia) Lyles; a grandson, Brandon (Lyles) Lyles, a great-grandson, Woods Lyles, all of Florence, and a sister-in-law, Betty Jo Alford of Galivants Ferry. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m., Sunday, January 14, 2018 in the sanctuary of Rehoboth United Methodist Church in Galivants Ferry. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 3:00 p.m. in the sanctuary with internment to follow in the church cemetery. Published in The Sun News on Jan. 14, 2018
