Marcedes was a faithful member of Elim Lutheran Church of rural Hooper, NE since 1950. She lived the majority of her life in the Uehling, NE area. She placed her faith in Jesus as her Savior at a young age. Marcedes was a faithful member of Elim Lutheran Church of rural Hooper, NE since 1950. She lived the majority of her life in the Uehling, NE area. Marcedes was born to the late Henry and Aagot (Gaarder) Klebe in Oakland, NE. She graduated from Hooper High School in 1949. She married Donald Egbers on January 28, 1950. Marcedes and Donald raised their family and farmed in rural Hooper (near Uehling) for 25 years. In 1975 she and Donald moved to Uehling where she resided until October of 2011. She then moved to Sioux Falls, SD and lived with her daughter, Donna. Marcedes, received a liver transplant in 1998 that gave her the gift of an additional 14 years of life. Sis and Don spent several winters in Yuma, AZ enjoying the sunshine and making friends. They also traveled to Hawaii, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand. Marcedes was a voracious reader and a loyal Nebraska football fan. She was intelligent and witty. Sis has a close-knit and loving family, and in her later years greatly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving are daughter Gail Egbers, Tacoma, WA; son, Randy Egbers (Pam), rural Hooper, NE; daughter Donna Anderson (Rodney), Sioux Falls, SD; grandchildren Kathlene Egbers, Omaha, NE, Rachel Miller (Kevin), Joseph Anderson (Lindsay) all of Papillion, NE; Lydia Blake (Scott), Jeremiah Anderson (Sarah), all of Omaha, NE; great grandchildren, Jacob and Kaleb Miller, Ava Anderson, and Spencer Blake; brothers, Dennis (Loretta), Richard (Joyce) Klebe, all of Fremont, NE; sister-in-law, Dorothy (Richard) Egbers, Hooper, NE; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Preceded in death by husband, Donald; sisters, Beverly Walraven, Mardell Bokowski; brother, Robert Klebe. MEMORIAL SERVICES will be at Elim Lutheran Church, rural Hooper, NE, 2pm Saturday, Oct. 6th. Her body was donated to the University Of Nebraska Medical Center. Memorial contributions may be sent the University of Nebraska Lied Transplant Center, Emile and 42nd Street, Omaha NE 68198 or Elim Lutheran Church, Hooper NE 68031. Thank you to all the people at Avera Hospital and Hospice, Sioux Falls, SD and Nye Legacy Center, Fremont, NE who helped make her last month's comfortable.
