Description	:	NORFOLK - Services for Marcella A. “Marcie” Eggerling, 84, Norfolk, will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Norfolk. The Rev. Matthew Niggemeyer will officiate. Private inurnment will be at a later date. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Stonacek Funeral Chapel in Norfolk with a 7 p.m. rosary. She died Friday, May 13, 2016, at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk. The daughter of Adolph and Anna (Buresh) Peplinski was born Dec. 23, 1931, at Dodge. She attended Dodge Public School to the eighth grade. She married James (Jim) Eggerling on Nov. 9, 1954, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dodge. Marcie and Jim moved to a farm southeast of Pilger and farmed there. They later owned and operated the Dairy Sweet in Wisner. Marcie also worked at El Rancho in rural Pilger as a waitress. In 1982, Marcie and Jim moved to Norfolk. She worked at Lynn & Sons Grocery Store in the bakery department and later worked at Hy-Vee West. She also worked as a representative for Avon until the fall of 2015. Marcie enjoyed singing in the choir, polka dancing, playing cards, camping and traveling. She was a member of the Norfolk Red Hat Society and Christian Mothers. Marcie and Jim also enjoyed going south for the winter months (snow birds) and staying in Florida. Marcie especially loved time with her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Mary’s and Sacred Heart Parish in Norfolk. Survivors include her spouse, James Eggerling of Norfolk; a son, Gerald and spouse Mila Eggerling of Mathews, N.C.; a daughter, Diane Kuchta of Norfolk; a son, Tim Eggerling of Omaha; a daughter, Sandra and spouse Sean Morrow of Omaha; nine grandchildren; siblings Vlasta and spouse Richard Roubel of Dodge, Darlene Glenn and spouse John Alfsen of Rapid City, S.D., Sylvia Wesely of Omaha, Janet Franzluebbers of West Point, Margie and spouse Darol Broekemeier of Petersburg, Duffy Peplinski of Dodge, Delvin Peplinski of Norfolk and Bob and spouse Margie Peplinski of Pender. She was preceded in death by her parents, Adolph and Anna; a son, Douglas; two brothers, Gilbert and Donald; and a son-in-law, Richard Kuchta. Music will be provided by the Bound For Glory Choir.
