Memorials are suggested to Samaritans Purse. Marcella C. Thiele was born September 8, 1928 in Columbus, Nebraska to Oscar and Clara (Benning) Schreiber. She graduated from Columbus High School. On October 1, 1946 Marcella was united in marriage to Lawrence Thiele in Columbus. The couple lived on a farm outside of Columbus until moving to town in 1979. Marcella served as a Red Cross Volunteer. She was a homemaker and devoted mother raising eight children. Marcella loved to play cards and games with her grandchildren. She loved music and dancing. She loved to make people laugh and always made people feel at home. Marcella was a member of various Bible study groups, Christian Women, and attended Fellowship in Christ.
