Description	:	Marcella Evelyn Drake, 95, passed away Nov. 9, 2012 at Sunrise of Leawood. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Countryside Christian Church, 6101 Nall Ave., and burial will be at Iola Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be prior to the service at 10 a.m. at the church. Marcella was born Jan. 17, 1917 in Claremore, Okla., the sixth child and only daughter of Milo and Lavenia Chryst. She married her high school sweetheart, Dr. Roy Drake, on Dec. 28, 1944, in Olathe. They were married for nearly 60 years until his death in 2004. She was also preceded in death by her parents and five brothers, Joe, Stanley, Harvey, Dee and Dell. She was a 60-year member of Countryside Christian Church and a longtime member of the St. Joseph Medical Center Auxiliary. Marcella was an avid bridge player and reader. She was a loving and generous person to her family and friends. She was kind and gracious to everyone she met. Survivors include her three daughters, Cheryl Mitchem (Allen) of Richmond, Va., Janet Drake of Leawood, and Julie McIver (Brian) of Overland Park; seven grandchildren, Michael Mitchem, Marlo Mitchem, Megan Gaspar, Melissa Mitchem, Brice McIver, Shelley Hanna, Kerry Mees and eight great-grandchildren.
