Description	:	MARCELLA HEUTON Funeral services for Marcclla Hulda Heuton of Carroll will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 18, 2000, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Carroll. Mrs. Heuton, 92, died at Carroll Health Center on Sunday, Feb. 13, 2000. Pastor Alan Miller of Peace Lutheran Church in Glidden will officiate the service, along with vicar David Anthony. Casket bearers will be Dan Schaefer, David Heuton, James Lass, Allan Heuton, Gary Lass and Ron Heuton. Honorary casket bearers will be Jewell Jung, Merle Stevens and Ray Berndt. Mrs. Heuton, 92, died at Carroll Health Center on Sunday, Feb. 13, 2000. Pastor Alan Miller of Peace Lutheran Church in Glidden will officiate the service, along with vicar David Anthony. Memorials to either St. Paul Lutheran Church or the Area Retarded Children Association may be left at the church or funeral home. A daughter of Charles H. and Caroline (Dierks) Peters, she was born on Aug. 15, 1907, at Carroll. She was baptized into the Lutheran faith and later confirmed in 1920 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Carroll. She graduated from Carroll High School with a'normal rschqol t^ajning certjficate and taught rural schbbHn 1927 and 1928. She and Roy Heuton were married on Feb. 6, 1929, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Carroll, with Pastor A.J. Mueller officiating. The couple moved to a farm east of Carroll and resided there for 41 years, until moving into town in 1970. Mrs. Heuton served as a substitute teacher for special education classes at Carroll High School for 10 years and taught for a full year in 1962. She taught ceramics from 1958 to 1970. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, taught Sunday School there for 23 years, wns president of Ladies Aid and chairperson of Christian Education Fellowship and Senior Fellowship, along with serving as a member of the FLC Study Club. Mrs. Heuton organized the Carroll County Care Facility annual Christmas party and volunteered; to help handicapped children. She enjoyed crafts, knitting and bridge. • Survivors include two sonsjahd their wives, Donald Roy and F\|a'nces Heuton of Payson,; Ariz.^Snd Jack Wesley and Bev Heuton -of Sheridan, Wyo.; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Heuton was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter and her husband, Carol Ann and Jerry Lass; three grandchildren, Julie Maxine Heuton, Julie Ann Lass and Craig Heuton; and four sisters, Susie Peters Hulsing, Erma Peters Launspach, Dorothea Peters May and Marie Peters Wille.
