Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Bellevue, with the Rev. Stephen Meyer officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Bellevue. Friends may call after 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the church. The Kingery Funeral Home, Bellevue, is in charge of arrangements. She was born on Feb. 2, 1910, in Bellevue, daughter of John and Mary (Arend) Haxmeier. She married Orville Roeder on Jan. 3, 1933; he preceded her in death on Feb. 24, 1949. She married Joe Gonner on April 11, 1951; he preceded her in death on Dec. 25, 1981. Marcella worked at the Goetz Bakery before she was married. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and its Rosary Society. She enjoyed quilting, gardening and playing cards with friends. In her later years, she enjoyed spending time at the Bellevue Senior Citizens Center. She will be deeply missed. Surviving are her daughter, Jean Cody, of Prior Lake, Minn.; five grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and seven step-great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; and three sisters.
