She was born May 5, 1911 in Morgan Township, Crawford County, Iowa the daughter of Louis and Mathilda Riessen. As a young girl, she received her education in the Schleswig area. She was baptized on June 11, 1911 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Charter Oak, and was confirmed into the Lutheran Faith on April 5, 1925 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Schleswig. Read More	Marcella Wilhmenia Emma (Riessen) Korner (1911 - 1977) Marcella Wilhmenia Emma Friedrichsen Korner died Sunday morning Feb. 6, 1977 at Crawford County Memorial Hospital, Denison, at the age of 65. She was born May 5, 1911 in Morgan Township, Crawford County, Iowa the daughter of Louis and Mathilda Riessen. As a young girl, she received her education in the Schleswig area. She was baptized on June 11, 1911 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Charter Oak, and was confirmed into the Lutheran Faith on April 5, 1925 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Schleswig. On Nov. 20, 1929, Marcella was united in marriage to Ommo Friedrichsen. Mr. Friedrichsen died on July 13, 1959, and on March 17, 1961 Marcella was remarried to Walter Korner at Schleswig. Survivors include: her husband Walter Korner of Schleswig, three sons, Norman Friedrichsen, Eugene Friedrichsen, and Virgene Friedrichsen, all of Wall Lake. Two daughters LaJune, Mrs. Roger Johannsen of Denison, and Jordean, Mrs. Veryl Achinger, of Wall Lake. Also by 16 grandchildren. By two stepsons, Orlen Korner, Omaha, Nebr., and Arlo Korner, Lebnon, Miss. She was preceded in death by her first husband Ommo Friedrichsen, one sister and a twin brother. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 8, at 10:30 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Schleswig. The Rev. Theodore Letzring officiated. Burial was made in the Morgan Cemetery, Schleswig. Pallbearers included: LeRoy Brodersen, Stanley Baker, Cyrenus Petersen, Bruce Hanneman, Edwin Glau, and Wilbert Johannsen. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Sinn-Huebner Funeral Home in Schleswig.
