Marcia was born on June 27, 1935 in Logansport, Indiana, the daughter of Carl Brown Lloyd and Armeda Francis (Dunkle) Lloyd. After her mother passed when Marcia was seven years old, she was raised by her maternal Aunt Florence and Uncle Charles Cooper. Marcia graduated from Logansport High School. She married Nicholas Shepherd on March 3, 1986 in Tennessee, and he preceded her in death on December 25, 2011. Marcia was a homemaker while her children were small and then worked as an aide at the Carroll County Home before selling insurance and advertising. She loved music and recorded three Gospel albums with her daughter Marta. She loved performing at various churches and events. Survivors include a daughter - Marta (Trapp) Coplen of Memphis, Tennessee; a son - Michael Lee Trapp of Muldrow, Oklahoma; a sister - Judith "Judy" Cripe of Logansport; three grandchildren - Ryan Coplen, Michele Coplen, and Will Hilton, and five great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Nicholas, a brother - Carl Edwin Lloyd, her aunt - Florence (Flo) Cooper, and a uncle - Charles Cooper, and her first husband - Lee Edward Trapp, who passed in February 15, 2010.
