Description	:	Mr. Marcus Brewer of north-east Monroe township, one of the most energetic and promising young farmers in the county, died of pneumonia last Friday morning. He had been sick a week and a day, and up till two days before he died was not considered seriously sick. Read More	Mr. Marcus Brewer of north-east Monroe township, one of the most energetic and promising young farmers in the county, died of pneumonia last Friday morning. He had been sick a week and a day, and up till two days before he died was not considered seriously sick. He himself gave the first intimation of seriousness of his illness on Wednesday when he told his wife he did not expect to get well. Somehow the idea got thoroughly fixed in his mind and he went over all his business affairs carefully and told his wife exactly what he wished to have done. He then sent for his brothers and told them all good bye, and gave a farewell talk to each of his four little children. The remains were buried at Marshville, and the funeral services were held by Rev. A. Marsh and Elder J. F. Mills. The deceased was 37 years old last October, and is survived by his wife, who is the only daughter of Esq. A. J. Brooks, four children, his mother, Mrs. Thomas Brewer, and several brothers and one sister. He is the first of a large family of grown children to die. He had never joined any church, but was of the Primitive faith, and expressed a perfect willingness to die. Mr. Brewer was one of the good farmers of the county. He had taken hold with enthusiasm and modern principles of farming and was becoming a leader in his section. He was an upright, useful man, and his death is not only a great bow to his family, but a deep loss to his community. Among those at his bedside at the end was his brother-in-law, Dr. J. C.
