Description	:	Maren Jorgensen was born in Kettinge, Lolland, Denmark, November 4, 1854, and came to America in July 1876 to Howard county, Nebr. She was married to Christen Sorensen July 18, 1880. To this union three children were born, of which two girls died in infancy and Ida who is married to Mads C. Madsen and who lives on their farm a half mile north of Nysted. Mrs. Christen Sorensen had been an invalid for 33 years, had been very ill and confined to her bed the last three months. She died May 5, 1915 and was buried in the Nysted... To this union three children were born, of which two girls died in infancy and Ida who is married to Mads C. Madsen and who lives on their farm a half mile north of Nysted. Mrs. Christen Sorensen had been an invalid for 33 years, had been very ill and confined to her bed the last three months. She died May 5, 1915 and was buried in the Nysted cemetery Friday afternoon, there to await the resurrection morn. All that loving hands could do was done during her prolonged illness. Funeral services were held at the Nysted church conducted by Rev. Moller who rendered a very impressive sermon. Ms. Sorensen was a kind and loving wife and mother, and a good Christian woman.
