Description	:	Maren Wishek Knoll, 54, died September 11, 2011, at her home in Bismarck. Services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, September 17, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, with Rev. Dave Swonger officiating. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday at Ashley City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm Friday at Parkway Funeral Service, Bismarck. Maren was born December 3, 1956, at Ashley, ND. She was the oldest of four children born to Max Wishek Jr. and Mary Ann (Brosz) Wishek of Ashley. Maren attended Ashley High School and the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, where she graduated in 1979 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Nursing. Maren was employed as a registered nurse in Grand Forks and Bismarck, ND, for many years. Her nursing career and her dedication to taking care of people was a very important part of her life. Maren married Brian W. Knoll at the Lutheran Church on June 4, 1977, in Ashley, ND. Maren enjoyed tennis and tennis tournaments, cooking German dishes, crocheting blankets for her loved ones, and of course her passion for fashion and shopping with her family and friends. She loved to read, travel, and the times spent relaxing at the river. She played in Bell Choirs at churches in Grand Forks and in Bismarck. Maren was a very loving, compassionate, caring and supportive mother and friend. She will always be cherished and loved by her children, family and friends. Maren is survived by her two children, Katherine Ann and her fiancee', Jason Klein, Bismarck, and Christopher Brian and his wife, Kayla (Engelhard) and grandson, Noah Christopher Knoll, all of Minot. She is also survived by her father, Max Wishek Jr., Ashley, ND; sister, Annie (Tim) Reopelle, Fargo; brothers, John (Joan) Wishek, Wishek; and Robert (Tracey) Wishek, Ashley; nieces and nephews, Michael and Michell Wishek, Adam and Hannah Wishek, and Jacob, Mariana and Marshall Reopelle. Also surviving Maren is Rick Roth, fiance'. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Ann (Brosz) Wishek.
