She was the daughter of H.G. and Rebecca Sheetz, and lived with her parents until April 5, 1858, when she was united in holy matrimony with Daniel M. McNeill, with whom she lived a happy life until they were separated by death. Read More	Shelby County Herald, Shelbyville, Shelby, Missouri, Wednesday, May 22, 1895, page 1. Mrs. Anna M. McNeill was born in Shelby county, Mo., January 18th, 1841. She was the daughter of H.G. and Rebecca Sheetz, and lived with her parents until April 5, 1858, when she was united in holy matrimony with Daniel M. McNeill, with whom she lived a happy life until they were separated by death. She lived to raise all her family to full maturity--six children--three boys and three girls, all of whom are still living. Feeling the necessity of divine grace to assist her in all the relations of life she became a Christian in the spring of 1859, and united with the Methodist Episcopal church, South, and lived a faithful and consistent Christian life, never faltering until released by death. She was an intense sufferer for more than a year, but in all her suffering she never murmured nor complained. She had strong faith in an Almighty Savior and his grace sustained her to the last moment. She said to her pastor "I am ready to go any time. I am waiting for the summons." The morning before she died she said "I am so glad I shall soon go home where there will be no more suffering." On the night of May 14th she fell asleep and entered the haven of eternal rest. Peace to her sleeping dust. "Time is weeping on the earth for the last! There is bowing in grief to the ground; But rejoicing and praise mid the sanctified host, For a spirit in Paradise found. Though brightness hath passed from the earth, Yet a star is new born in the sky, And a soul has gone home to the land of its birth, Where are pleasures and fullness of joy, And a new harp is strung, and a new song is given To the breezes that float o'er the garden of heaven.
