Read More	Mrs. Bradbury 212 Descendants Davis County Republican June 7, 1928 Margaret Ann, daughter of James and Mary Hartup, was born October 28, 1830, in Wayne County, Indiana, and passed to her heavenly reward, Tuesday morning , May 22, 1928, at her home in Bloomfield following and illness of less than a week's durration, having reached the ripe old age of 97 years, 6 months, and 24 days. Death was caused by cerebral embolism. She was married to David Bradbury in Indiana, October 26, 1848. They came to Iowa in the spring of 1850, residing in Mahaska County a few months when they came to Davis County residing on a farm near Savannah from which place she moved eighteen years ago and has since made her home in Bloomfield. She was a resident of Davis County for 78 years. Her husband was a soldier in the Civil War and dies July 7, 1895. She was the mother of fourteen children, six of whom have preceded her in death, namely Sarah Ellen, Florence Oscar, James, Albert, Frank and Charles Wesley. The surviving children are: Luther, Clint, and Edward of Washington state, Mrs. Robert Sidwell of Oregon, Mrs. Mary Barnes, Mrs. Jane Lyons, Mrs. Den York, and Ellsworth Bradbury, all of Bloomfield. She was the grandmother of sixty-five grandchildren, one hundred and two great grandchildren and thirty one great great grandchildren, most all of whom are living. She is also survived by one brother, C. W. Hartup, of San Antonio Texas, who is 88 years old. Grandmother professed her faith in Christ when a yound woman at the home of the late John Rowlings, later identifying herself with the Wesley Chapel Church remaining a member until death. She was present at the dedication of all the churches this congregation built, the present church being the third. Grandmother Bradbury was a woman of high Christian ideals devoted to her home and family and was very active until the last few years adn retained a wonderful memory. By her cheerful disposition she won the hearts of all who knew her. She will be sadly missed by the children and grandchildren numerous relatives, friends, and neighbors. Following a brief meeting of a large number of relatives and friends at the home, funeral services were held at the Wesley Chapel Church, Thursday afternoon, May 24, at 2 o'clock Conducted by Rev. C.H. Chader, pastor, who used as his text, Rev. 2:10, "Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee the crown of life." Music was furnished by the Wesley Chapel male quartette, who sang three beautiful selections. The pallbearers were six grandsons: Vint and Ernest York, Raymond, Ben, Don, and Otto Bradbury, who very sorrowfully and gently carried their dear grandmother to her last resting place in the Wesley Chapel cemetery, besides the husband who departed so long ago.
