Born in Salisbury, she was a daughter of the late Carl Elwood McIntyre and Olive Davis McIntyre. Her late husband was Gorman Horner. Mrs. Horner was a homemaker and a former department manager for Sears. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Wenona and enjoyed gardening, canning, crocheting, quilting, watching TV and raising grandchildren. Born in Salisbury, she was a daughter of the late Carl Elwood McIntyre and Olive Davis McIntyre. Her late husband was Gorman Horner. Mrs. Horner was a homemaker and a former department manager for Sears. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Wenona and enjoyed gardening, canning, crocheting, quilting, watching TV and raising grandchildren. Mrs. Horner is survived by two sons, Gorman Bruce Horner and his wife, Elizabeth, of Salisbury and William Frank Horner and his wife, Cindy, of Salisbury; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Jayne Horner of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; three brothers, Albert McIntyre of Pocomoke City, Doug McIntyre of Fruitland and Reginald McIntyre of Eden; a brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Deanna Horner of Wenona; and special nephews, Joe and Stacey McIntyre and Steve and Mary Horner of Oriole. A son, Robert Brent Horner, died in 2010; a late brother was Carl Bratten McIntyre; and a late sister was Shirley Naples. A funeral service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Officiating will Be the Revs. Samuel Horner and Linwood "Sonny" Benton. Interment will be in St. Paul's United Methodist Cemetery in Wenona.
