Description	:	Funeral services for Mrs Margaret Ann Pratt, 100, formerly of Hawleyville, will be held this Saturday at 1:30 pm at Walker-Merrick Funeral Home in Clarinda with burial in Memory Cemetery near New Market. Mrs Pratt died Feb 5, 1986 in the Rosary Hospital in Corning. She was born near Wellsville, Ks, on July 28, 1885, the daughter of Francis and Mary (Johnston) Redenbaugh. Read More	Funeral services for Mrs Margaret Ann Pratt, 100, formerly of Hawleyville, will be held this Saturday at 1:30 pm at Walker-Merrick Funeral Home in Clarinda with burial in Memory Cemetery near New Market. Mrs Pratt died Feb 5, 1986 in the Rosary Hospital in Corning. She was born near Wellsville, Ks, on July 28, 1885, the daughter of Francis and Mary (Johnston) Redenbaugh. In 1889 the family moved to Iowa in a covered wagon and settled near Hawleyville. She recieved her education in Page County and taught school for six years in Taylor County. In 1909 she was married to Chester E. Pratt. She had joined the United Methodist Church at Hawleyville at age 12 and remained an active member as long as she was able. She also cared for 10 other children after her family was grown. She had celebrated an open house at the Clearview Home in Clearfield, Ia, for her 100th birthday. She was a resident of the home for nearly 10 years. Preceded in her in death were her husband, Chester, in 1949; two infant children; a granddaughter, Diane Selders; four brothers and two sisters. Surviving are three children, Dwight Myron Pratt, Mrs Henry (Bonnie) Karg and Chester Glen Pratt, all of New Market; two sisters, Clara Lewellen of Slaten, Tx, and Nettie Redenbaugh of Bedford, Ia; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
