Description	:	Black Hill Pioneer Obituary Margaret M. Moeller, 89, of Kimball, passed away Friday, Sept. 7, 2012 at the Aurora-Brule Nursing Home in White Lake. Funeral mass will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012 at St. Margaret's Catholic Church in Kimball. Visitation will be held at the church from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012. Survivors include five sons, Edward (Annie), Robert, Thomas (Stella), Lawrence (Marjean) and Richard (Sandy); two daughters, Edith (Kelly) Burlingame and Carol (Russell) Edwards; daughter-in-law, Teresa (William) Thiry-Moeller; ten grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two half-brothers; and several nieces and nephews. Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at St. Margaret's Catholic Church in Kimball. A Committal Service will follow at St. Margaret's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 11, 2012 with 7:00 P.M. Rosary and Wake Services. Margaret (May) Moeller was on born March 28, 1923 to Albert and Elizabeth (Hutchinson) May in Detroit, Michigan. As a young child she moved to Indianapolis, Indiana to live with her uncle and aunt, Ferdinand and Nellie Erpelding. Margaret graduated in June 1941 from Arsenal Technical High School, Indianapolis, Indiana. She worked as a secretary at Indiana State Life Insurance until meeting her future husband. On October 3, 1945 she was united in marriage to Sgt. Edward P. Moeller, at the Billings General Hospital Chapel, Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana. Upon her husband's discharge in December 1945, they returned to White Lake, SD and in March 1946 they moved to a farm east of Kimball where they raised eight children. Together they farmed for 36 years before retiring in 1982 and moving into Kimball, and then later to Mitchell due to Edward's declining health. Margaret continued to live in Mitchell until recently when she relocated to the Aurora-Brule Nursing Home, where she resided at the time of her death. She was a member of St. Margaret's Catholic Church, Homemaker's Extension Club, Brule County Extension Club, Lads and Lassies 4-H Club as a Leader, and member of the White Lake American Legion Auxiliary Post 96. Grateful to have shared in Margaret's life: five sons: Edward (Annie) Moeller of DeSmet, SD, Robert Moeller of Sealy, TX, Thomas (Stella) Moeller of Deadwood, SD, Lawrence (Marjean) Moeller of Mitchell, SD and Richard (Sandy) Moeller of Pearland, TX; two daughters: Edith (Kelly) Burlingame of Little Falls, MN, and Carol (Russell) Edwards of Lead, SD; a daughter-in-law, Teresa (William) Thiry-Moeller of Kimball, SD; ten grandchildren; several great grandchildren; two half-brothers: Robert and Richard Jones; along with several nieces and nephews. Margaret was preceded in death by: her husband of more than 56 years, Edward (Sept. 2002); a daughter, Ruth; a son, William; her parents, Albert May and Elizabeth Jones; an uncle, Ferdinand and aunt, Nellie Erpelding; a daughter-in-law, Donna Moeller; a sister, Joy (May) Pitts; a half-sister, Willvene Snyder and two half-brothers: Owen and Orville Jones.
