Hoelting Laid to Rest Wednesday Funeral services were held at St. Stephens church (sic) Wednesday morning at nine o'clock for Mrs. C. J. Hoelting who passed away at her home Sunday morning, Aug. 19. Altho being in poor health for a number of years with arthritis, she had improved so much that she was able to attend church services and to visit at the home of relatives. Not feeling well Sunday morning the doctor was called but her condition was not considered serious until a cerebral hemorrhage resulted in instantaneous death at 11:30 at the age of 68 years. Margaret Buescher was born in Ft. Madison, la. July 3, 1877 and she came to Nuckolls County with her parents in 1880. She was united in marriage to John Hoelting in October 1902 at St, Stephens church (sic). She leaves to mourn her departure her husband and six sons: Albert, Robert, Arnold and Ralph of this community, Sgt. Walter in the Philippines and Cpl. Herman who is now in a hospital in Germany, and four daughters: Celestine, Gladys, Mrs. Dwight Beach and Mrs. Muriel Bowen and four grandchildren: Roland and Lyle Hoelting, Arlene Bowen and Diane Beach. The deceased also leaves two brothers Joe and John Buescher of Lawrence, and Mrs. Anna Wiggenjost of Ft. Madison, Iowa, a sister. A brother, Ben and sisters Mrs. Henry Brockman and Mrs. Frank Rempe preceded her in death. There are also a large number of relatives and a host of friends who grieve at her loss. Although in poor health for a number of years, the last several being spent confined to a wheel chair, she bore her suffering with patience and fortitude. Her cheerfulness defied forgetfulness. Her life was dedicated to the well being of her children, whose interest she had ever at heart. The social graciousness prevailing her in her home will never be forgotten by her many friends and relatives. The Pastor, Rev. B. J. Haskamp, officiated at the Requiem Mass and was in charge of services at the grave in St. Stephens cemetery (sic). Ball (sic) bearers, all nephews of the deceased, were Arthur Buescher, Vernon Buescher, Wilfred Buescher, Arthur Hoelting, Vincent Ostdiek, and Ernest Schroer. Out of town people in attendance at the final rites included: Mrs. M. K. Bowers, Harlan, Ia., Henry Hoelting and sons, Norbert and Wilfred, Mrs. Frank Brockman and Mrs. Anne Benzinger of Nazareth, Texas, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Peterson of Omaha.
