She was a daughter of the late Joe Coker and the late Allie Barfield Coker, and was the widow of the late Joseph M. Prosser. Mrs. Prosser was a charter member of The Bible Temple where she was a dedicated worker for over 60 years. She was a... Read More	COWARD — Mrs. Margaret C. Prosser, 84, passed away peacefully June 20, 2009. Mrs. Prosser was born in Lake City on June 8, 1925. She was a daughter of the late Joe Coker and the late Allie Barfield Coker, and was the widow of the late Joseph M. Prosser. Mrs. Prosser was a charter member of The Bible Temple where she was a dedicated worker for over 60 years. She served in numerous positions including past leader of the Ladies Auxiliary, Vacation Bible School, Girls Club and Sunday School teacher. Mrs. Prosser was retired from General Electric Company. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, me-ma and friend who will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her. Mrs. Prossers surviving family includes her children, Joanne Vancil (Floyd) of Coward, Annette Benton (Richard) of Coward, Sandra Printz (David) of Bryans Road, Md., Sharon Enlow (Phillip) of West Columbia, Michelle Tanner (David) of Johnsonville, and Joe Prosser (Renee) of Johnsonville; her grandchildren, Sherri V. Ward (Chris) of Lake City, Mark Vancil (Mandee) of Lake City, Ginger B. Anderson (Chris) of Johns Island, Chandace B. Tanner (Scott) of Johnsonville, Myra Ard (Dean) of Pamplico, Elizabeth Enlow of Chapel Hill, N.C., and Ashleigh E. Lewis (Justin) of Lexington; 14 great-grandchildren; her four sisters, Naomi Passailaigue (Billy), Louetta Strickland, Nancy Threatt (Paul); Oree Cameron; her brother, Buck Coker (Betty); many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Prosser is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph M. Prosser; her son, James M. Prosser; her great-grandson, Spencer Tanner; her sister, Eula Godwin; and her brothers, Foster Coker, Bill Coker and Joe Harvey Coker. The family of Mrs. Prosser will have visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 22, 2009, in The Bible Temple, 195 Gause Canal Road, Coward. Funeral services for Mrs. Prosser will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 23, 2009, in The Bible Temple. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to The Bible Temple, P.O. Box 280, Coward, S.C. 29530. Brockington Funeral Home, Lake City, is in charge.
