Porter, at near seven o'clock yesterday morning. LONTZ Mrs. Margaret Lontz, age 82 years, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs, William H. Porter, at near seven o'clock yesterday morning. Mrs. Lontz had been an invalid for several years, unable to walk without assistance, the effect partially of a broken limb, but otherwise, apparently in good health. The family had spent an unusually pleasant evening with her, and one of her last duties to accomplish before retiring for the night was the reading of a portion of scripture. She retired at nine o'clock, and almost immediately sank into sleep. At 12 o'clock her nurse, Mrs. Dean, found her still asleep, and at two o'clock, going to her bedside, found her unconscious. Her physician was quickly summoned, but she did not rally, and death came peacefully. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon, at 2:30 o'clock, at the residence, to which the friends are invited. Friends may call at any time. All are requested to kindly omit flowers. Besides the daughter, Mrs. Lontz leaves a son, John M. Lontz, of Richmond. Mrs. Lontz was one of the best-known and best-loved women of the community. Her happy disposition and attractive hospitality was an inspiration to her large circle of friends, and all deeply mourn her passing away." 2d article "FUNERAL SERVICES OF MRS. LONTZ Many were in attendance at the funeral services of Mrs. Margaret Lontz, which were held at her late home at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Porter, Friday afternoon of last week. The Rev. Truitt, of the Christian church read as the lesson the fourteenth chapter of John, and based the discourse upon the text found in Revelations, 4th chapter and 13th verse. Notwithstanding the family requested that friends omit flowers, there was a luxuriant profusion of floral emblems and other pieces, showing the high esteem in which Mrs. Lontz had always been held. Burial was made in the Brick church cemetery by the side of her husband, who died a number of years ago. The bearers were A. R. Jones, John Teetor, B. F. Mason, William Stahr, C. A. Hughes and Henry Keagy."
