Mrs. Bowers was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late Charles W. and Ella Aldridge Colbaugh. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Edith Feathers, and three brothers, Nat, Robert and Bill Colbaugh. Mrs. Bowers was a 1931 graduate of Elizabethton High School. Mrs. Bowers was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late Charles W. and Ella Aldridge Colbaugh. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Edith Feathers, and three brothers, Nat, Robert and Bill Colbaugh. Mrs. Bowers was a 1931 graduate of Elizabethton High School. She worked at the Bemberg Corporation for a number of years and retired as Manager of the Dollar General Store. She was a member of Hunter United Methodist Church and the Elizabethton Senior Citizens. Survivors include her husband of 69 years, Ola Clinton Bowers; a daughter, Lois M. Williams, Elizabethton; two sons, Ralph C. Bowers, Lansing, Mich., and Larry E. Bowers, Elizabethton; two sisters, Ella Jo Medearis, Elizabethton, and Betty J. Markland, Flint, Mich.; and five grandsons, Michael Bowers, Mark Bowers, Benjamin Bowers, Christopher Bowers and Todd Williams. Four great-granddaughters and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday, November 25, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Joseph Manis and the Rev. Estil Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Happy Valley Memorial Park.
