Description	:	Our beloved mom, mother-in-law, grandmother and aunt, Margaret Hart, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, surrounded by her family. Margaret was born to Raphael and Rose Daum on May 9, 1928, in a farmhouse at the Stefan's Sugar Beet Farm near Edgar. She was the youngest of 16 siblings. Read More	Our beloved mom, mother-in-law, grandmother and aunt, Margaret Hart, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, surrounded by her family. Margaret was born to Raphael and Rose Daum on May 9, 1928, in a farmhouse at the Stefan's Sugar Beet Farm near Edgar. She was the youngest of 16 siblings. Raised in New England, N.D., she graduated from New England High School in 1946. She married Tony Lowenstein in 1950, of which three sons were born: Pat, Perry and Bryan. Later, she would marry the love of her life, Donald P. Hart, of which one son was born: Terry. She worked as a telephone operator for the telephone company for 30-plus years, retiring in 1984. In those years, she was trained and retrained many times to adjust to the changes the telephone company made. In her younger years, Mom loved camping with her family. She was an excellent cook, retaining many old German recipes and passing them down to her family. She loved to crochet, needlepoint, sew and paint. Her family has items that she crafted over the years, which include blankets, vests, dishtowels, dollies and numerous other gifts she made. She is preceded in death by her husband, Don; and 13 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her four sons: Pat Lowenstein of Galt, Calif., Perry (Barb) Lowenstein, Bryan (Stacey) Lowenstein and Terry (Marianne) Hart, all of Billings; two sisters, Matilda Schaff of Thermopolis, Wyo., and Barbara Shaf of Bowman, N.D.; five grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to say "thank you" to the staff of TenderNest Assisted Living and Billings Clinic for taking such great care of Mom through her many illnesses. Mom, age and disease ravaged your body, but you preserved with courage, grace and with no complaint. We know it was time for you to go, but we wish you could have stayed. We will miss you and love you always. Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary, 1001 Alderson Ave. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 9, at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary.
