Home at the age of 92 years were held Friday at the Volland chapel. Rev. Geo. Fuchs officiated and burial was in the West Blue Church cemetery. Obituary Margaretha Drost Janssen was born January 18, 1848, in Emden, Hanover, Germany and departed this life January 25, 1938. She was baptized and confirmed In the Dutch Reformed Church. She came to America in 1865, and was married to John N. Janssen in 1868 in Pekin, Illinois. Her husband preceded her in death in 1892. To this union were born nine children, four preceding her in death. Those remaining to mourn her loss are: Mary Smith of DesMoines, Iowa; Nettie Unger, Denver Colo.; Maggie Koop, Utica; Herman of Lincoln and Tony of Van Houten, New Mexico. Forty-one grandchildren and fifty-two great grandchildren also survive. She was a kind and loving mother and ever thoughtful of her friends and loved ones.
