Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home on Thursday, November 19, 2015, from 4-7:30 p.m. Services will be on Friday, November 20, 2015, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. A private burial will take place after the services at St. Mary's Cemetery. A light luncheon will be served at the Rose Bowl (formerly PlaMor Lanes) after services. (Naber) Morehead, 100, passed away at her home November 12, 2015, in Muscatine. Visitation will be at Ralph J. Sympathy notes may be left for her family and friends at www.wittichfuneralhome.com She was born March 1, 1915, to Charles Erdman and Emma (Kary) Erdman. She married Frank Maher in 1932, and to that marriage Marilyn and Charles were born. Later, she married Ernest (E.B.) Naber and they had two sons, Randy and Ronald. Following Ernest's death, she married Raymond Morehead until his passing in 2008. Margaret was an active member in the Muscatine Women's Bowling Association for 63 years and was inducted to the MWBA Hall of Fame in 1989. Margaret will be remembered for her radiant personality, always dressed to the nines with enough jokes and stories to keep the room alive with laughter for hours on end. She also was well known for her extravagant Halloween decorations and her lemon meringue and sour cream raisin pies. Whether it was a bowling tournament, a euchre game or cheering for her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids in sporting events, Margaret led an active social life that was best depicted by the hundreds of friends and family who helped celebrate her centennial birthday. Left to honor Margaret are her children, Charles Maher, Marilyn (Don) Baer, Ron and Randy Naber and a stepson, Walter Naber. Her grandchildren Craig and Michael Maher, Peg (Jerry) Hart, Lori (Rick) Reifert, Brett Baer and Debbie, Stacy (Kevin) Lloyd, Matt and Ian Naber, step-grandchildren Carol Hill, Gary Naber, Danny Naber, Connie Lough, Jake, Morgan and Megan Hatfield; niece Kay (Ron) Horton; and, many great and great-great grandchildren. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; step-mother, Edna Erdman Watters; aunts, Clara and Helen Kary; and sister, Mary Griffin, daughter-in-law, Rhonda Maher, and a grandson, Tom Maher.
